Why I have written about secret societies in conjunction with intelligence agencies

When I started this blog, one of the first statements I posted related to the recognition of a dichotomy between democracy and theocracy, in the post Dichotomous Rex.

Bear in mind that at that point and throughout the early history of this blog, I was to a substantial degree writing to the CIA, which had rejected my application of April 2009 and continued to harass me after I complained. The CIA and MI6 are well aware of exactly what I was talking about when speaking about theocracy and democracy with respect to the dubious attempts to misappropriate Japanese religion for subversive purposes. To the extent that those officials in the intelligence community constituted the main component of the target audience, it was permissible to speak in somewhat abbreviated, if at times somewhat cryptic terms, but now I will try and elaborate on various aspects to make them more accessible.

After settling in Kyoto for a more relaxed environment than harried Tokyo, I had the chance to do a little reading about Japanese history, including Marius Jansen’s study of the Meiji Restoration vis-à-vis the life and travails of one of its more celebrated heroes, Sakamoto Ryoma.

Several years before I started writing this blog I encountered numerous specious and spurious articles by pseudo-scholars and other imposters in a now defunct MI6 operated local English language monthly called the Kansai Time Out. Among those were articles by John Dougill. After questioning him about the basis for his articles, it was clear that he was simply a fraud, though he was otherwise articulate and intelligent. It was evident that he must be an intelligence officer, but it wasn’t clear whether he was writing that distorted and deceptive disinformation himself or was more or less a ghost writer of sorts, serving as a front to legitimize the text to the unwitting foreigner community. (Below are two one-page articles from the publication: one from 2006, and the other from 2008.)

The subject matter had resonance with religious or quasi-religious topics, as I’ve discussed in some detail. I examined some of his work in the post Parallel Processing in a Zero Sum Game of October 2011, as well as entries posted on February 18 and April 21 2012, in which I connected the (mis)appropriation of Sakamoto by Dougill to that by Toru Hashimoto.

Perhaps the most famous Western figure from the Meiji era in Japan is Thomas Blake Glover, whom a fellow Scottsman and author Gardiner has surmised in a recently biography on Glover, At the Edge of Empire, The Life of Thomas Blake Glover, to have likely been a [Free]mason. Gardiner writes

What trading houses like Jardine Matheson were looking for were boys of high ambition who showed strength of character useful in negotiation and who were willing to spend years away from their families. In Thomas Blake’s case, the scouts may have been masons: one of the buildings in the Glover Garden complex is a masonic lodge, and there is a close system of business contacts running through his career. Jardine Matheson invited Thomas to interview sometime in early 1857 at the age of 18, and not long after he was posted to China.

The reason for Jardine Matheson's appointing Thomas Blake Glover are not documented, even in their own records, and may have involved exotic handshakes. We don't know.

One of the more common ploys employed as a means of subversion is the propagation of pseudo-religious ideas by charlatans in any of various guises, such as the spurious tome published in the 19th century by a likely Freemason, Nicholas McLeod, depicting the Japanese elites as descendants of a “Lost tribe of Israel” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Lost_Tribes. The book is quite extraordinary, and an archived copy of it can be downloaded, here.http://books.google.co.jp/books?id=U2c_AAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&hl=ja&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false McLeod was not a scholar, so apparently his knowledge had been acquired through his association with Freemasonry, or so I speculate.
The account by McLeod falls under the umbrella of a pseudo-historical account known as the Japanese-Jewish Common Ancestor Theory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese-Jewish_Common_Ancestor_Theory
There are a couple of very good serious scholarly works that address the above-described subject matter; in particular the book The Ten Lost Tribes: The History of a Myth http://www.amazon.com/The-Lost-Tribes-Israel-History/dp/1842126652/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401673680&sr=8-1&keywords=The+Lost+Tribes+of+Israel%3A+the+History+of+a+Myth by Tudor Parfitt https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tudor_Parfitt and The book The Ten Lost Tribes: A World History http://www.amazon.com/The-Ten-Lost-Tribes-History/dp/0199324530/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401673841&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=The+Lost+Tribes+of+Israe+Benite by Zvi Ben-Dor Benite, a professor at NYU. http://history.as.nyu.edu/object/zvibenite.html

Two American’s I’ll discuss anew here are unabashed charlatans, in my opinion, engaged in spreading pseudo-religious ideas and doctrines, some of which takes place here in Japan, some right here in Kyoto.

The first, A. J. Dickinson, claims to have been a teacher at medical schools instructing doctors on tradition Chinese/East Asian medicine as well as an expert in Tibetan Buddhism, and has shown me photos of himself in Tibet with Buddhist monks. John Dougill has featured him on his blog in the not-too-distant past. http://www.greenshinto.com/wp/2011/08/06/960/

On the other hand, he has evinced an anti-Buddhist bend in his discussions of traditional medicine, and an antipathy to Buddhist monasticism. There is no information about him online in connection with Buddhism or traditional medicine, but the presentation he delivered at the Theosophical society is supposedly based on Buddhism. The obvious duplicity and contradictions makes him yet another fraud.

Moreover, he is a member of the San Francisco lodge of the Theosophical Society, and here are a couple of links to an audio recording of a presentation he gave at the San Francisco lodge in 2007. http://sftslodge.org/?s=dickinson

I first reported issues with Dickinson to the Consulate in Osaka in 2011, after a discussion Buddhism that occurred around when I first encountered “AJ” in 2010—at the Starbucks, of course. He sent me two somewhat romantically imbued poems with a pseudo-Buddhist theme, as follows.

Sitting on Vulture Peak

Sitting on Vulture Peak
Us two, deep within
Distant dawn birds call
All that remains
This mountain, this skye
Not two, cobalt blue
Unsetting, unrising, true
Just this, all rigpa, all mu

Aside from the vaguely homoerotic overtones, he had also tried to interest me in a young Japanese woman that was soon to embark to graduate school in the USA, even though he knew I was married and my wife and I had recently welcomed our first child. It goes without saying, but if it were philandering I was intent on, there wouldn’t be any going through the cretins I describe in this blog. Of course, the use of women for nefarious purposes such as extra-marital affairs with the aim of compromising a given individual for the purpose of blackmail, etc., is a well-known ploy used by organized crime groups…

The second, Kevin Turner, passes himself off as a shaman, and is indeed associated with the organization called The Foundation for Shamanic Studies https://www.shamanism.org/fssinfo/turnerbio.html, and is said to teach their doctrine in seven countries throughout Asia. In fact, he is the head of that organization in Asia. Quite an impressive thing to put on your resume, why, he’s practically famous!

At any rate, there is obviously no market for that in Kyoto, as is plainly evident from the recent video, so what is he doing based in Kyoto? Wait, you can also see him listed as a friend on Dan Douglass’ Facebook page (Dan has recently uploaded a photo of himself) https://www.facebook.com/dan.douglass.946/friends. How many of the people listed on Dan’s Friends page have been mentioned on this blog? Let’s name them: Eric Tronchet, Alex Trouchet, Sasha Ashburne, Arron Campbell, John Ashburne, Kevin Turner, Justin Giffin, and Barbara Stein. Most of those connections are through phony rent-a-priest wedding service and the “Global College” CIA operated front. And there are seven or eight others, whom I’m certain are intelligence officers, that are listed on that page and with whom I’ve interacted with personally that could be discussed. Two of those people lived in the same apartment building in which Dan and used to reside. That building was full of CIA, MI6, Canadian and Australian intelligence officers. The building is soon to be torn down, marking the end of an era. There are a couple of others on the list whom I’ve mentioned in emails to the Consulate.

Shamanism is a topic that several of the individuals I’ve discussed in this blog have attempted to raise with me, including Dougill, Roughan, and Schultz/Umeme. There is simply no denying that the CIA and MI6 are relentlessly bent on exploiting some psychological weakness associated with religion here in Japan, and Kyoto is a target not only because it is the world’s foremost center of Mahayana Buddhism—the nemesis of charlatans everywhere—but also the would-be originary site for the ‘holy city’ capital for wannabe Shinto fascists aiming for a reinstantiation of the theocratic “State Shinto” state that was the eventual result of militarism spawned by the Meiji Restoration.

Who Is Kevin Turner (the Pseudo Shaman)?

As the links I'd posted some years ago have been disabled, even on the WayBack Machine's archived pages, so I'm going to upload the copies from my personal archive downloaded back then... For your edutainment...

Though I’d never met this individual until he recently showed up at the Sanjo-Ohashi Starbucks in the company of AJ Dickinson (see below) and Falun Gung Mike, I had come across his earlier video series below, but thought he was gone after that was inactivated. After meeting him at the café, I googled his name and found the new video, which is of a more polished production level with a different approach to presentation.

Current video online

Old video (archived)

I haven’t had any direct interaction with him other than a brief introduction recently, so I haven’t had any problematic interaction that would cause me to report him as a suspicious individual to the Consulate. However, in light of the individuals in whose company he recently appeared, my suspicions that he is a Freemason have been reinforced. Whether these people are all intelligence officers or not is another question, but they are certainly men of independent means to the extent that enables them to pursue these interests.

American History
Historically speaking, there are a couple of readily accessible notable occasions where the office of the presidency has become embroiled in relation to issues of secret societies and government service, and dual loyalties versus the interests of the republic. The following are three such instances with which I am familiar.

John Quincy Adams was a member of the Anti-Masonic Party

In New York at this time the faction supporting President John Quincy Adams, called "Adams men," or the "Anti-Jackson" faction, were a very feeble organization, and shrewd political leaders at once determined to utilize the strong anti-Masonic feeling in creating a new and vigorous party to oppose the rising Jacksonian Democracy. In this effort they were aided by the fact that Andrew Jackson was a high-ranking Mason and frequently spoke in praise of the Order.

Adams served as the sixth President of the United States from March 4, 1825, to March 4, 1829. He took the oath of office on a book of constitutional law, instead of the more traditional Bible. Adams proposed an elaborate program of internal improvements (roads, ports and canals), a national university, and federal support for the arts and sciences.

John F. Kennedy Speech originally entitled "President and the Press" (April 27, 1961)
JFK gave a speech related to freedom of the press in which he addressed the issue of secrecy and secret societies. .

Harry Truman was a biblical-literalist Freemason
Truman’s legacy—The Truman Doctrine—is based on a Manichean duality between Capitalism and Communism (good and evil, respectively). After dropping atomic bombs on Japan (partially with the aim of halting the advance of Russian troops into the country), Truman had the fledgling CIA free war criminals and establish them in the reactionary LDP party so the US would have a staunch anti-Communist ally in Japan.

Today, it can be said that Truman’s actions after WWII have contributed to the a hereditary political culture epitomized by the rise of the ultra-nationalist administration under a prime minister whose grandfather was one such individual that was to be tried for war crimes after WWII. Not only is he a jingoistic antagonist of neighboring countries, his jingoism denies the history of Japan’s actions in WWII and the consequences in a revisionist manner. Moreover, his demeanor embodies a religious dimension related to institutions associated with State Shinto and what can only be referred to as a theocratic fascist Japan from the 1920s to the end of WWII, and he has sought to weaken the post-WWII pacifist Constitution, ignoring the will of the Japanese people evinced in extraordinarily vociferous protestations by Japanese standards.
